Meet Danielle
Hello and welcome,
I offer birth doula services, postpartum doula care, and childbirth education to expecting families in the greater Seattle area. I attended my first birth in a support role while still in High school and I knew immediately that working with birthing women and their families would somehow be a part of my life.
After working a number of years as a preschool teacher and administrator I eventually trained professionally as a Doula in 2009 at The Seattle Midwifery School. In the past ten years I have been steadily expanding my birth work offerings and education while raising my own family. My husband and I live on the Eastside with our three children and our dogs Murphy and Desmond. When were not at home you can find usually find us in the mountains or at the beach. I love home design and collect thrifted art, pottery, and native baskets. I also love reading and baking.
If you feel you could benefit from a calm and experienced guide by your side as you prepare to meet your baby, please contact me to schedule an in-person meeting where we can discuss your individual needs. You're also welcome to call, text, or email me so we can chat about how my services may benefit you. If you've already welcomed your baby and are seeking postpartum support I'm happy to meet with you on short notice to discuss your needs and work with you to create a support plan for your new family.

Congratulations and best wishes,
Danielle

Breastfeeding Support
Postpartum Doula
Many families prepare extensively for the birth of a baby and then wait to see if they actually need help after the baby is born. In my experience nearly every family and especially those who do not have local support systems can benefit working with a postpartum doula.
Families working within a strict budget can actually save money by front loading your postpartum care at the beginning of your babies time home. Sleep, food, and a little care go a very long way in promoting healing, protecting emotional health, and establishing a good milk supply for breastfeeding parents.

Postpartum services include:
-
Baby care basics: Feeding, including early breastfeeding support, bathing, baby wearing.
-
Caring for baby while you sleep, eat or shower.
-
Preparing light nourishing meals or snacks.
-
Washing and folding laundry, light housework.
-
Emotional support, birth processing, sharing of applicable local resources.

Gift certificates available for those wishing to contribute to postpartum care as a gift. My typical doula shifts are usually 3-5 hours long.

Hourly Rate is $60
